After selling our small farm and finding renting for a couple of years was not for us, we decided to look for a new 2 bedroom home. We found model home by Semler Homes under construction so the "package" was already complete, meaning we did not have to go through decision making for appliances, colors, trim, flooring, etc. We watched the rough in construction from almost beginning and were very impressed with the workmanship and professionalism of the crews and vendors, but left the last 3o days or so until the pre-closing walk through. My husband and I recently purchased the model home on Dellwood St S in Cambridge. We had almost given up hope in finding a home that was with in our budget and didn't need remodeling. I had put up a huge prayer on Dec 9th. The next morning I opened Redfin and what was there, this home. I reached out to our agent and we went and saw it. We instantly fell in love with the home. It was exactly what we had asked for. We put in the offer that evening and Semler Homes accepted our offer the next day.
I love the lighting fixtures, the 9 ft ceilings, the walk in shower, oh heck I love everything... I'm especially happy with the customer service we have received from Travis and Mike. I am more of a show me type of learner, not a reader. They came over to our home and took the time to go through everything with us. Down to turning off the beeping on the Microwave so our dog would quit freaking out. Being from Oregon, I was so confused on the Humidity system. So thankful for their patience with me on that. Travis, even took the time to help me get my TV working properly. I mean seriously who does this...
I am highly impressed with the Home Manual Bible.. That is pretty sweet. I'm sure I'll be referring to it more often.

Also easily contact the builder and project manager with any questions or concerns with immediate responses. The attention to detail is amazing. I mean this house is perfect. Semler prides itself on their product and it shows. Our allowance for appliances and carpet/flooring etc was very generous. You can upgrade if you wish. The vendors from cabinets to countertops were all top notch. My cabinets are beautiful! The selection for the outside of the house gives the buyer many options to make the house unique to you. I don’t typically communicate with the “sellers” of a property after a home inspection but I wanted to give you some feedback after my time inspecting the home you built.
The house is just excellent, very very nicely built with an attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship that I unfortunately seldom see. You’ve used a number of good but simple products but they look so much better than your competition who often times use the same products but with a shoulder-shrug mentality when it comes to installation quality. You’ve also added a number of upgrades that I also seldom see in this price range including spray foamed rims, a utility sink in the basement, an air-exchanger, custom cabinets, floor trusses, upgraded light fixtures, knockdown ceilings, upgraded railing, completely rocked garage, very good quality mechanical systems and a 2-10 warranty just to name a few. You’ve stuck to the basics better than most I’ve seen and you’re building a very good quality product which is a great value for your Clients.
